Video Transcription
Patient demographic interoperability is a function provided for the NCDR participant community who use the ACC online data collection tool as their means of entering and submitting data to the NCDR data warehouse. The purpose of patient demographic interoperability is to minimize and consolidate the number of times a patient is entered into the system. Regardless of registry selection, every patient should have one master entry which includes all direct patient identifiers. Once a patient demographic is complete, registry specific procedures may be added to the demographic and will be sorted into registry specific views. Because patient demographics are interoperable, it's extremely important to take caution when attempting to delete patient identifier information. System warnings are in place to prevent unwanted deletions. However, it's important to check with all registry RSM personnel before deleting any patient. you
