5444 ECG read date and time seeks to capture the date and time the ECG was read and interpreted by a physician and or advanced practice provider.  This is the initial or first value STEMI versus not a STEMI read, such as the preliminary ED read used to determine if the encounter was an emergency or not.  The target value is between first medical contact and discharge. The over read is not the focus of this data element.
