Video Transcription
Thank you for viewing this educational presentation introducing data elements that are new to the EP Device Implant Registry version 3.0. The purpose of the Conduction System Pacing section is to evaluate results of procedures in which an attempt was made to implant a left bundle lead during the procedure. The Conduction System Pacing section aims to understand QRS morphology in relation to left bundle lead placement. This section is only applicable to devices associated with left bundle lead placement. Sequence number 15790 captures the final paced QRS duration in milliseconds. Duration should be noted in the provider notes or a device testing report and not abstracted solely based on ECG measurements that are not accompanied by provider documentation. Sequence 15829 is coded when the final paced QRS duration was not assessed or not documented. Unipolar paced QRS morphology in lead V1 is collected in sequence 15787. This morphology is useful in predicting successful left bundle lead pacing. However, it should only be coded when there is clear provider documentation available. Please note that this information is not to be abstracted based on the abstractor's ECG interpretation. The intent of sequence 15791 is to capture the R-wave peak time duration in leads V5 and V6. Sequence 15830 is available for selection when R-wave peak time duration is not assessed or not documented. Without specific documentation by the provider or the final device testing report, it is appropriate to indicate that the R-wave peak time duration was not assessed. Thank you for taking the time to view this presentation.
Video Summary
This presentation introduces new data elements for the EP Device Implant Registry version 3.0, focusing on Conduction System Pacing and left bundle lead placement. Key data include the final paced QRS duration (sequence 15790) and R-wave peak time in leads V5 and V6 (sequence 15791), which should be documented by providers or in device testing reports, not inferred from ECGs alone. Unipolar paced QRS morphology in lead V1 (sequence 15787) helps assess successful pacing but requires clear provider documentation. Options are available for cases where these metrics are not assessed or documented.
