The Social Security number based Health Insurance Claim Number or HIC has been replaced by a new Medicare Beneficiary Identifier or MBI. Enter the Medicare Beneficiary Identifier or MBI available on arrival to this facility in sequence 1, 2, 8, 4, 6. Patients who are not insured by Medicare will not have an MBI number.
