Thank you for reviewing this short education presentation focusing on our upcoming LAAO Registries update to version 1.4. In this presentation, we will be reviewing facts about the update as well as going through new elements added and elements that will be retired. In order to capture a fellow in training, he or she would have to be added to the Professional Maintenance Database for version 1.4. The Professional Maintenance Database can be accessed under the Data tab. Once the Professional Maintenance page is accessed, please add the fellow in training demographics and provider MPI number, choose fellow under type, and LAAO as the registry. The following elements are being retired. The more detailed ethnicities for the elements of race will be removed. These subcategories are removed from the data collection form, but were not removed from the data collection tool prior to launch. Even if captured in the data collection tool, these subcategory elements will not be harvested. They may be left blank as they will have a 0% threshold. Sequence 3015 HIC number and Sequence 3035 Patient Restriction from an NCDR research study will also be removed. With the launch of version 1.4, there has been a decision to remove the Post-Procedure Medication Strategy section. The Post-Procedure Medication Strategy will not be captured for patients being entered into version 1.4, but it will still be captured for patients entered in version 1.3. Like mentioned before, these are the patients with a discharge date on or before September 30, 2022. With the launch of version 1.4, there will be a new process to submit data to the DQR. Instead of going into the data collection tool, then the maintenance screen, please go to Data, Submit to DQR version 1.4, and submit the base and or follow-up needed. Just a quick reminder, data entered into version 1.3 tool will still have the same process of using the maintenance page to submit or change data. The new process of using Submit to DQR version 1.4 tab is only for data entered into the version 1.4, which are patients with a discharge date on or after October 1, 2022. For more detailed information on the DQR process, please access the What is a DQR course in the Learning Center. This slide is a more visual representation of the submission process. Go to Submit to DQR version 1.4 under the Data tab, which will direct you to the quarter table for base and follow-up data. Continue by selecting the box next to the quarter you wish to submit, followed by scrolling down to Submit to DQR with or without DPI tabs. Please keep in mind that, like in version 1.3, the box for the quarter selected must not have any system alerts attached to it in order to submit your data. When entering a follow-up in version 1.4 for a base procedure entered in version 1.3, please use the Follow-up Search and Edit feature. Please enter any of the patient's demographic information to select the correct patient and then select the Search tab at the bottom of the page. Do not use the Enter key on the keyboard once the patient's demographic is entered, as you will not get a result. For patients who had their base procedure in version 1.3, if you try finding the patient using the Patient Add-In Search, you will get a message that no patient was able to be found. If you enter a duplicate base case in version 1.4 for a version 1.3 base procedure, it will produce a red submission error. To display what was discussed on the last slide, after clicking Search, if the patient had an episode of care entered in version 1.3, the patient will be shown in the Search Results window, which will appear in the bottom of the page. Next to the patient's name, you will see three icons, Edit Follow-up, which will allow you to edit any past follow-ups entered in version 1.3, Add Follow-up, which will direct you to the follow-up page for version 1.4, and Delete Follow-up, which deletes any follow-up attached to the patient. The updated documents from version 1.4 will be posted soon. An announcement will be posted in the Announcement page when they are available for download. Thank you for reviewing this presentation as we get ready to move to our new LAAO Registry version 1.4. Thank you.
