Hello, I am Liza St. Clair and I will be narrating the American College of Cardiology's Reduce the Risk PCI Bleed Quality Campaign Program Features Overview. The content in this course was created by Susan Rogers. We're excited to share with you the materials available for your team to utilize as you roll out the Reduce the Risk PCI Bleed Quality Campaign at your facility. This is Lesson 2 of the Reduce the Risk PCI Bleed Education. Lesson 2 will focus on the program features. The objectives for this lesson are to 1. Demonstrate where to locate this quality campaign's features to begin participation. 2. Recognize this campaign's toolkit and review their relevance to their facility's care gaps. Lesson 2 will take you through the next steps after opting into the campaign. Now that your facility has made the decision to participate in this quality campaign, there are a few steps that need to occur. These steps include building your team, completing your facility's assessment, reviewing the results of your assessment and set goals, choose the tools that will assist your facility in achieving your goals, participate in the quarterly webinars, and sign up for the listserv to share your success with this community. One of the responsibilities of each facility is to assemble a team that will lead this campaign rollout at your facility. This team would include a team facilitator who serves as the primary point of contact for the program, a physician medical director who serves as the medical staff liaison, a hospital administration team sponsor who ensures that adequate resources are in place to support program activities, and the cath lab staff. We ask that you share an email address to ncdr at acc.org for each designated team member within approximately 30 days of opting in. The email addresses will be used to communicate relevant program information. Please utilize the contact information sheet in the appendix of the program requirements document. The Reduce the Risk PCI Bleed campaign leverages evidence-based practices to improve the care and outcomes of patients who have undergone a PCI. This website will provide you with tools and documents available to your team to assist in facilitating the rollout of this campaign. This webpage houses the campaign's assessment tool, the toolkit, the webinar information, and listserv access. Click Read More to view the assessment page. The purpose of this assessment study is to help you study your facility's PCI processes and identify areas for improvement. For the questions below, refer to your facility's CAF PCI Registry Outcome Report that reflects the rolling four quarters from the 2018 Quarter 1 report. Your results page will show your overall score and the points you earned for each success metric. Use this assessment to guide the goals you create for your facility. Click here to view the toolkit page. The ACC has curated evidence-based tools to help you decrease PCI bleeding at your facility. Click on each section to find targeted tools for each campaign metric. Metric 1, in-hospital risk standardized rate of bleeding events for all PCI patients. Metric 2, proportion of PCI procedures with transfusion of whole blood or red blood cells. Metric 3, procedures with an observed bleeding event. Metric 4, anticoagulation utilization. Metric 5, access site utilization. Metric 6, method for closure for arterial access site. Each tool is associated with the campaign metric it supports. Click here to view the webinars page. The webinars will provide the Reduce the Risk PCI bleed participant an opportunity to ask questions and share best practices and lessons learned, while at least one individual from your team should represent their hospital. We encourage as many members of your team that are able to participate. All webinars will be archived and posted on this webpage. A link to participate in the webinar will be posted on the CAHP PCI registry landing page prior to each webinar. Click here to review the listserv page. The Reduce the Risk PCI bleed listserv connects you to a network of individuals committed to improving bleeding outcomes for the PCI patient population. Through the Reduce the Risk PCI bleed listserv, you can send and receive messages directly to your email inbox. To prevent an overflow of email messages and to track responses, this listserv is moderated. Listserv messages are released in the evenings. To become a member of the Reduce the Risk PCI bleed community, subscribe to our listserv by adding in your name and email addresses to the form below. The listserv will be your opportunity to reach out to other Reduce the Risk PCI teams to ask questions, brainstorm, and share best practices. In addition to the campaign features described in this webinar, the ACC also provides project management tools. These tools are divided into three sections, Planning Templates, Campaign Engagement Strategies, and Hospitals Presentation Slide Templates. The Define Your Goals and Creating a Goal Statement documents are examples of what is available. Campaign Engagement Strategies tab includes examples of the SBAR communication tool and Surviving MI. Here under the Hospital Presentation Slide Template, you will find a deck of nine PowerPoint slides that you may customize for your facility presentations and reporting. Thank you for taking this time to learn more about the ACC Reduce the Risk PCI bleed quality campaign. This concludes Lesson 2 of Reduce the Risk PCI bleed program features. Thank you for your participation.
