Welcome to this learning activity titled Start Here. Upon completion of this four-part learning activity, the learner should be able to utilize the Registry Site Manager and individual user checklists to ensure successful registry setup, create registry resource documents, and identify the location of the 10 steps to registry success. The home page, the Start Here link, and the Resources link are three areas within the password-protected or private side of the NCDR website that are crucial to successful data collection. These areas serve as your main online resource, offering tools, important documents, and more. The following questions will be answered during this presentation. Why are announcements important? Who is responsible for knowing the information on the home page? Why is it important to review the home page frequently? The home page is a centralized area where NCDR and registry-specific important announcements and updates can be quickly obtained. This is your go-to resource to stay up-to-date on NCDR and registry-specific news. Go to the home page for information on registry calls, where the date, time, and the hyperlink is posted a minimum of three days prior to the scheduled call. For information on new and revised FAQs. For information on newly released pre-recorded Learning Center courses. For information on new or updated resource documents. As well as the NCDR registry fees and ACC and NCDR holiday closures. Please note, the NCDR teams are available during ACC hours of operation. During holiday closures, all inquiries will be addressed upon our return in the order in which they are received. All announcements on the home page are accompanied by a posted date, with the most recent or most significant announcement appearing first. The need-to-know information posted on the home page is essential to know for registry success and it is the responsibility of all registry site users to be familiar with the information provided. Additionally, any blue, alphabetic, and or numeric text embedded within the announcement are hyperlinks to a document or a different location where additional detailed information can be obtained. Why are announcements important? To generate awareness of important NCDR or registry-specific need-to-know information. Who is responsible for knowing the information on the home page? The information on the home page is essential for registry success and it is the responsibility of all registry site users. Why is it important to review the home page frequently? New and updated ACC, NCDR, and registry-specific information can be easily obtained in a centralized location. Thank you for participating in this lesson of the learning activity titled Start Here.
