Welcome to Lesson 4 of ACC's Transcatheter Valve Certification Tool Orientation Course. This learning activity was developed by myself, and I am Liza St. Clair, and I will also be narrating this presentation. This module is specifically designed for re-certifying facilities and to review several new optional features within the Transcatheter Valve Certification Tool that may be utilized. The objectives are to define the new functionality within the tool that includes bypassing the baseline gap analysis, including foundational information, contacts, and essential components, the ability to port over documents from your previous certification application, and an attestation option for select essential components. Bypassing the Baseline Gap Analysis Phase After achieving Transcatheter Valve Certification, sites may opt to bypass the Baseline Gap Analysis Phase. Prior to selecting this option, let's review how this impacts your re-certification journey. This feature will apply to re-certifying facilities only. When utilizing the term bypassing the Baseline Gap Analysis, we are referring to three sections – auto-filling of the foundational information and EHR, auto-filling of the contacts, and bypassing your initial assessment of compliance with essential components. The next few slides will review the Bypass Baseline Gap Analysis features. Again, this feature is only available for re-certifying facilities. If your facility is seeking their initial certification, this option will only be available until 12 months prior to the expiration of your certification. To best describe this process, we will start from the homepage or landing page. We will then zoom in on the menu to the left side of the page. For re-certifying facilities that were previously enrolled in ACC's Transcatheter Valve Certification Program, there is an option to copy over the previous version of the facility's foundational information, EHR, and contacts. However, all information should be verified. For contacts, only information that has passed with a green checkmark can be copied over. Now that we are zoomed in on the menu, we will select Facility Information. From there, we will click on Foundational Information, which will then provide the option to copy the information from the prior certification. Clicking on Yes will copy the information from the previous certification and serve as your acknowledgement that the information remains up to date. Clicking on No will provide the option to enter the information manually. Following the same process, we will now select Electronic Health Records. The same option will present itself under this section. Make your selection here just as was done in the previous section. As you can see, you will follow the same process in completing the contacts section as well. Click on each contact and make your selection as appropriate. If the specific contact was not filled in previously, then no information will transfer. Information will need to be added as appropriate. For recertifying facilities that were previously enrolled in transcatheter valve certification, there is an option to copy over the previous version of each facility's contacts. Again, this will only copy over the information if previously provided and had a green checkmark. The options are as follows. Yes, copy information from previous section. Answers are correct and validated. This selection will copy over all information only if previously available and had the green checkmark. The fields will auto-populate and can be updated as needed. For each contact, confirm the checkbox at the bottom of the screen. I have reviewed the above information and made all necessary corrections, which activates the green checkmark. The second option is no, do not copy, updated information will be entered. This selection will not copy over any information if previously available. This selection is for facilities who elect to manually enter all sections. For each contact, confirm and check the box at the bottom of the screen. I have reviewed the above information and made all necessary corrections, which will then activate the green checkmark. After navigating the facility information tab and the contacts tab, the next tab on the list is essential components. When clicking on essential components, a pop-up will appear asking whether you would like to bypass answering the essential components. Clicking no will auto-answer each one with a NA. Clicking no will default to the pathway of answering each essential component to complete the baseline gap analysis. Enable supporting documents. Facilities recertifying documents uploaded in the previous certification will automatically pop over to the new application. To locate them, click on supporting documents from the left-sided menu. As you can see, there are two tabs here, one for current documents, which are documents uploaded during the current certification application, and another for historical documents, which are documents uploaded during the previous certification. Only documents in approved status or unread status will port over to the new application. The historical documents are available as a reference and cannot be attached to any ECs in the current application. Add a station option for essential components. Once a recertifying facility moves beyond the baseline phase and into the application phase, the ability to attest to designated essential components is available. By selecting in governance at EC1M1A, you can now view the attest as current column here. By selecting yes, you are indicating or attesting that the document uploaded in the prior certification still demonstrates current practice without changes. This will place an NA in the currently met column, and there will be no need to upload a supporting document for this EC unless requested from your ARS. Locating no to the attest as current section will simply take you along the pathway of having to answer yes or no to the currently met column and will require you to upload a supporting document within your application phase. Finally, looking at EC1M1C, you can see that this is one of the ECs designated as not being attestable. These type of ECs will be grayed out in that section with an NA. You will simply follow the normal pathway in completing these ECs and answer yes or no and upload a supporting document. This concludes lesson 404. You have now completed all lessons. Thank you for your participation.
Video Summary
The video transcript is a detailed guide for Lesson 4 of ACC's Transcatheter Valve Certification Tool Orientation Course. It covers bypassing the Baseline Gap Analysis phase for re-certifying facilities, copying over previous information for foundational data, EHR, and contacts, and attesting to essential components. The process involves selecting options to either copy over information from previous certification or manually enter it. Supporting documents and attest options for essential components are also discussed. The lesson concludes by highlighting the completion of all lessons.
