HF Accreditation participants need to understand the current challenges in
providing
care to the HF population, the rationale for the accreditation requirements, and how it can enhance and strengthen the quality and delivery of care to this population. By
providing
these educational topics, HF Accreditation participants will achieve a foundational understanding and motivational engagement to
identify
process improvement opportunities and adopt HF quality initiatives.
Overall Goal
After participating in this activity, the learner will be prepared to:
Recognize the ever-increasing population of those diagnosed with heart failure.
Identify current challenges and lack of resources to manage and deliver care to the heart failure population.
Explain the types and classification of heart failure.
Understand the causes and recognize symptoms of heart failure.
