Statement of Need

The purpose of this course is to provide the participant with overview of the NCDR Data Quality Program and how it is important in the Quality Check process. This course also provides a systematic approach to understanding the Quality Check process for all hospital-based registries.

After participating in this activity, the learner will be prepared to:

- Discuss the goal of the data quality program.

- Identify and use available resources including the DQR Companion Guide.

- Distinguish, differentiate and interpret Quality Check messages.
