Statement of Need  

TCV Certification participants need to understand the current challenges in providing care to those diagnosed with valvular heart disease, the rationale for the certification requirements, and how it can enhance and strengthen the quality and delivery of care to this population.   By providing these educational topics, TCV Certification participants will achieve a foundational understanding and motivational engagement to identify process improvement opportunities and adopt TCV quality initiatives. 

 
Overall Goal 

• Recognize the ever-increasing population of those suffering with valvular heart disease. 
• Identify current challenges to manage and provide transcatheter valve therapies to those with valvular heart disease. 
• Understand the causes of valvular heart disease.  
• Recognize signs and symptoms of valvular heart disease.
