Statement of Need
The purpose of this course is to provide the participant with overview of how the guidelines are developed and utilized in NCDR Metrics to drive process improvement (or improve cardiovascular outcomes).  


Overall Goal

After participating in this activity, the learner will be prepared to:

  •  Apply a systematic approach to understanding clinical practice guidelines and evaluate metric data. 

  • Locate additional resources including the Benchmark Companion Guide. 

  • Describe at least 2 types of metrics.
